Structural Engineer(Louisville Office)
Job Summary:
LECGI is looking for Structural Engineer with 3+ years of experience in structural design, proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to follow instructions. Candidate with Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience is a plus. Training will be provided on related design software and BIM software for structural steel.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform structural calculations, design, and detailing for structural building elements, based on current building codes and specifications
- Review and interpret technical documents and designs
- Correspond directly with clients, design professionals and contractors
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings and/or 3D model to present design and details of structures
- Coordinate with designer and detailer to create drawings
- Will be required to follow and be knowledgeable of all company standards, policies and procedures
- Responsible for completing jobs on time based on the project schedule
- Good planning and organizational skills required for fast paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
- Willing to work overtime when requested
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with focus in Structural Engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience in Structural Design/ Structural Engineering in Industrial Field
- Must be a certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents
- Ability to compute quantities and verify measurements and layouts
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently, and work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel & Word) and CAD software (AutoCAD)
- 3D modeling experience using Tekla structures or another 3D modeling program is a plus
- Knowledge or experience with steel detailing is a plus

Structural Designer/ Detailer
Job Summary:
LECGI is looking for Structural Designer/ Detailer with 3+ years of experience in AutoCAD. Candidate with Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience is a plus. Training will be provided on related BIM software for drafting and detailing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing complete and accurate BIM models and fabrication and erection drawings using Tekla Structures
- Using engineering information, manufacturing parameters and customer’s technical specifications to create drawings and 3D model
- Responsible for updating and revising drawings when changes are made to engineering designs
- Responsible for completing jobs on time based on the project schedule
- Adheres to and has sound knowledge of all drafting department standards, policies and processes
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Good planning and organizational skills required for fast paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
- Willing to work overtime when requested
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma minimum
- Required minimum 3 years experience with AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents
- Ability to compute quantities and verify measurements and layouts
- Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge or experience with steel detailing is a plus
- Experience reading structural steel drawings is a plus
- Tekla Structures or structural steel detailing experience is a plus
