Structural BIM/ Tekla Designer

Job Summary

LECGI is looking for Structural BIM/ Tekla Designer with 3+ years experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience. Candidate with experience in Tekla Structures and structural steel detailing is a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Preparing complete and accurate AutoCAD drawings of steel structures as designed by engineering personnel
  • Using engineering information, manufacturing parameters and customer’s technical specifications to create drawings and 3D model
  • Will be required to follow and be knowledgeable of all drafting department standards, policies and processes
  • Responsible for updating and revising drawings when changes are made to engineering designs
  • Responsible for completing jobs on time based on the project schedule
  • Adheres to and has sound knowledge of all drafting department standards, policies and processes.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Good planning and organizational skills required for fast paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Willing to work overtime when requested

Qualifications and Skills

  • Associates degree in drafting or related discipline.
  • 3+years experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Math and AutoCAD skills.
  • 3D modeling experience using Tekla structures is a PLUS.
  • Knowledge or experience with steel detailing is a PLUS.

Structural Engineer

Job Summary

LECGI is looking for Structural Engineer with 3+ years of experience in structural design, proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to follow instructions. Candidate with Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience is a plus. Training will be provided on related design software and BIM software for structural steel.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform structural calculations, design and detailing for structural building elements, based on current building codes andspecifications
  • Review and interpret technical documents and designs
  • Correspond directly with clients, design professionals and contractors
  • Preparing AutoCAD drawings and/or 3D model to present design and details of structures
  • Coordinate withdesigner and detailer to create drawings
  • Will be required to follow and be knowledgeable of all company standards, policies and procedures
  • Responsible for completing jobs on time based on the project schedule
  • Good planning and organizational skills required for fast paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Willing to work overtime when requested

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with focus in structures
  • Require to have 3+ years experience in Structural Design/ Structural Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents.
  • Ability to compute quantities and verify measurements and layouts.
  • Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, andwork effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel & Word) and CAD software (AutoCad).
  • 3D modeling experience using Tekla structures or another 3D modeling program is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience with steel detailing is a plus.

Structural CAD Designer Internship

Job Summary

LECGI is looking for Structural CAD Designer Internship with proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to follow instructions. We will provide training on drawings and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software for structural steel.
